This work is inspired by another book by John Steinbeck and in particular by its title again. It’s in
the form of wooden milk holder covered by synthetic fur and contains babie’s milk bottles with
teats.
It refers to the Steinbeck’s relationship with Meret Oppenheim, when he lived in Paris. Oppenheim
created the famous fur-covered cup exhibited at the Moma in New York.
The most important point of the book recalls a pregnant woman breastfeeding a starving old man.
